ICM 844 is a fumed pyrogenic silica, produced via flame hydrolysis and is best described as a synthetic hydrophilic amorphous silica. The product meets the specification of the 21 CFR 175.105, 176.170, 176.180, 176.200, 175.300, 177.2600, 172.480, 178.3120, 178.3297, 173.340 and GRAS at 182.90. ICM 844 is a very effective thickening and thixotropic agent in many organic systems such as unsaturated polyesters, coatings, printing inks and adhesives. ICM 844 is used as reinforcing filler in silicone elastomers. ICM 844 acts as a free flow additive in the production of technical powders in food, feed and pharmaceutical industries.
